We understand how stressful organising the funeral of a loved one can be. Once the service has been arranged, you may want to find a place to spend time with your guests after the funeral.

At The Oak in Baginton, we offer a private function room located just a few miles from Coventry crematorium. We also offer a full catering service to provide your guests with refreshments at the wake or celebration of the life of your loved one. Alternatively if you require outside catering at the venue of your choice, we can also come to you.

We offer a wide selection of buffet menus, however if you prefer, we can also create a bespoke menu to suit your own personal tastes. The team at The Oak will go to great lengths to ensure that the reception runs as planned and will help you cover every detail, even the ones you haven’t thought of yet.

We are happy to discuss arrangements over the phone or if you would prefer, we can arrange a time for you to come and take a look at the function room to make sure it would be the perfect place for your guests to meet after the funeral.

To put your mind at ease and remove the need for you to worry about accommodation for those travelling to the funeral, we have 13 bedrooms available on-site and a further 14 at The Dakota guest house, our sister business (also located in Baginton). Our spacious dog friendly pub has a huge selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available to order at the bar, including real ales, hot drinks and a large variety of wines. We have disabled facilities and offer ample free parking for guests attending the wake.

For those staying overnight, we offer a traditional cooked breakfast is also on offer in the morning and we have close access to the M45, M1 and M6.
