The Town Crier is highly recommended for funeral receptions, wakes and memorials near the Chester crematorium.

The Town Crier is renowned for its expertise in hosting funeral receptions, wakes, and memorials. Our compassionate and experienced team provides a respectful and serene environment, ensuring every detail of your gathering is handled with care and sensitivity.

Ideally located very near the Chester Crematorium, the venue offers a convenient setting for your post-service gatherings, facilitating a seamless transition from the service to the reception. Our venue features excellent facilities with a function room that can cater for up to 60 people. We usually charge £50 for the room and £100 if you would like to use the bar.

We offer a selection of buffet menus, thoughtfully crafted to suit various tastes and dietary requirements, with the flexibility to create customised menus to reflect the unique preferences of your guests.

We are happy for people to bring their own food (but we cannot store it for them due to not being allowed outside food in our kitchen) or we can offer buffets. This starts from £9.99 PP.

Please note that buffet menus are subject to change yearly, ensuring fresh and diverse options.

We have a family area which can sit around 30 people, this has 2 steps or they can book out our patio outside which can seat around the same amount of people. We don’t usually charge for these areas but we may ask for a deposit which can be redeemed back on drinks or food.

Nearby car parking provides easy access for attendees, reducing any additional stress.
