The crematorium is located to serve both West Devon and East Cornwall and for many communities will be their nearest available facility. The building consists of three adjoining spaces each with an individual character and optimised for its purpose.

The administration block at the front adjacent to the carpark houses the office and waiting room for those attending ceremonies. On the other side of the porte-cochere is the ceremony room/chapel with traditional vaulted ceiling, picture windows and skylights. To the rear sits the crematory which contains the most advanced cremator in the world with its associated equipment, meeting the strictest environmental standards.
