Pontefract Rugby Union Club offers a welcoming, comfortable and respectful setting for families and friends to come together following a funeral or memorial service.

We understand that arranging a wake can be difficult, and our friendly and caring team will work with you to make the arrangements as straightforward as possible. Our aim is to provide a relaxed and private environment where family and friends can spend time together, share memories and celebrate the life of a loved one.

Our clubhouse provides a spacious and comfortable function area with a fully licensed and well-stocked bar. Catering can be provided, with a range of options available to suit different requirements, numbers and budgets. We are happy to discuss individual needs and help tailor the arrangements appropriately for your gathering.

The club benefits from convenient on-site parking, helping to make arrival as easy as possible for guests. Our facilities provide plenty of space for both smaller, more intimate gatherings and larger groups.

Our experienced team will be on hand throughout to ensure everything runs smoothly and discreetly, allowing you to concentrate on spending time with family and friends.
