The Catcher in the Rye is independently owned and opened in 1994. The pub is named after JD Salinger’s classic novel, this relaxed, elegant pub offers great British food, a wide range of cask and craft beers and an exceptional choice of spirits.

We cater for private bookings with attention to detail for up to 80 persons, offering buffet style food, ranging from sandwiches up to deluxe Buffets, Our packages are for a minimum of 10 persons.

At the Catcher in the Rye you will find some of the finest cask ales and craft beers on tap, a vast range of wines and spirits, and you can enjoy all this in a cosy and friendly atmosphere. We are a dog friendly pub.

The pub doesn’t have any private parking but there are off street parking spaces in the vicinity, there is also a big car park 4 minutes walk part of Finchley central Station which is the main train station closest to us, it is on the Northern Line on the High Barnet Branch, it is only a 20 minute tube ride to central London.
