The Walker Cricket Ground is a highly regarded venue for funeral receptions and wakes, located just 0.5 miles from New Southgate Crematorium. With a reputation for professionalism and compassion, The Walker Ground offers a peaceful and spacious setting for family and friends to gather in remembrance, with excellent facilities and ample free parking.

Our main event space, The Walker Bar, provides a welcoming atmosphere with views overlooking the scenic cricket grounds and can comfortably accommodate up to 140 guests. The venue includes a licensed bar, and our team is committed to delivering a supportive and seamless experience for gatherings, whether they are large or intimate.

The in-house catering team is available to tailor a menu to your wishes, with options ranging from hot and cold buffets to sit-down meals, created with care and attention to detail. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own catering team, though a small surcharge applies for clean-up and refuse collection.

The Walker Cricket Ground team understands the sensitive nature of planning a wake, often at short notice, and will work diligently to accommodate your needs with respect and empathy. Our facilities include an overhead projector and screen, ideal for displaying photo or video tributes, and a sound system that can play background music or custom playlists. Tablecloths are also available for hire, providing an added touch to the setup.

While our on-site parking can accommodate up to 50 vehicles, please note that disabled access is currently unavailable.
