At Number 47 we appreciate what a difficult time it can be losing a loved one. We offer the ideal venue for you to meet with friends and relatives after a funeral or memorial service for a funeral wake or reception.

We’re conveniently located in central Norwich, situated 9 minutes, 1.3 miles away from Earlham Cemetery and not far from St Faiths Crematorium (24 minutes around 7.3 miles away) and Colney Wood Burial Ground (14 minutes 5.7 miles away).

We can offer a wide choice of rooms. We have 4 function rooms catering from a small intimate garden room with adjoining private garden to our large Banqueting Room which can cater for up to 140 buffet style, a bar and cloakroom facilities. We have disabled toilet facilities and easy access for all.

We usually recommend our Morning Coffee, Afternoon Tea or a Buffet menu for a funeral wake, served buffet style – but can be flexible depending on your requirements and budget. For a funeral wake the food is served when your guests arrive and our bar will be open throughout.

There is also public parking less than 3 minutes away. Bookings subject to availability.
